Ed Lee: Hawaii has a large variety of accommodations in all price including bed & breakfast, hotels and condominiums. The city of Waikiki has more condos and hotels you can find a great moderate number of hotels if you do not mind being three or four blocks from the beach. Maui, however, has more condos than hotel rooms. The moderately priced hotels and condominiums are located in the south of Kihei. Kihei properties are located in front of public beaches. Kauai and Big Island of Hawaii have fewer choices for hotels moderate and condominiums. The moderate hotels in Kauai is located north of Lihue airport along the coconut coast of Kapaa. The moderate hotels on the Big Island of Hawaii can be found in the area of Kailua Kona on the western side of the island.
When is the best time of year to go to Hawaii?
Ed: Hawaii is a great destination with warm weather and warm most of the year. Rainfall vary with the location of most of the season. The western and southern islands, the leeward side, are the dry, sunny conditions, with the most calm waters. The rainy season is from November to April. You will find weather, sometimes during the winter, but much of the rain is composed of short showers during the day followed by a rainbow.
